Tony Stromberg
Tony Stromberg

BiographyJust before the turn of the millennium, a quiet but gnawing voice drew Tony Stromberg out of his roots in commercial photography and deep into the soul of the West. He began his pilgrimage away from the frenetic world of advertising and into a world possessing a respect for nature and the land. Since then he has spent much of his time learning the nuances of his most beloved equine companions in their natural environment. “The spirit of the horse is a magnificent teacher to humanity,” he says. Stromberg’s work is an homage to the equine spirit and a celebration of horses’ remarkable presence in our lives. Often referred to as visual poetry, his images reveal the incredible beauty and grace of the horse. His books, Spirit Horses and The Forgotten Horses are published by New World Library. www.tonystromberg.com
